Our work included: web consultancy services with the Babergh Domestic Violence and Abuse Forum and working with Babergh District Council - Community Safety Officer to provide a website that incorporate a range of media and support into the site. The Website was launched virtually across the UK and indeed the world wide web; to coincide with the start of White Ribbon Campaign in the UK.
A Virtual Web 2.0 Interactive Launch was offered as an idea to provide the Survivors Stories website visitor with an opportunity to really interact with the new website. I had devised the virtual launch concept also as a way to acknowledge the many survivors that could possibly be sitting at a PC and hoping earnestly to connect with others, and share their own views on what domestic violence and abuse was to them and ways to offer support for any new visitor to the website encouragement to find help. The first part of this Virtual Launch incorporated Social Networking and web marketing across the net. Facebook, MySpace and the Ning Netwrok were a few of the places that I began this quest.
