Person Centred Designs - website design and website design support
Person Centred Designs, is a development that was asked for by the growing numbers of businesses that had been passed my way word of mouth and happened accidentally. I had designed my website using a website template and had been given much support from others as to the way I had managed to get the website looking the way it did. The website content and the website pictures were commented on and the style of imagery depicting my own website services to the Third Sector ( voluntary and charity sectors), across London and the UK.
Through my training and mentoring services of Person Centred Consultancies, I was able to share some of the website design resources I used to create it. However, many people seemed to shy away from the news of updating pages, content management, website design imagery, search engine optimisation, key words, meta tags, links, tables, CSS style sheets, HTML, javascript, dynamic pages, podcasting and blogging, accessibility and userbility, and even though this was promoted as easy to use, there was a marked need to have someone do it for them, and do it now. Businesses didn't have the time to learn all that I learned and yet wanted a website designed and a web presence.
I had trained myself in website designing, learning most of these terms and use this to help others plan their own websites and pages with a website design support service using the template I had used. People seemed to be pleased that I was offering a website design service that was ethically priced ( the website template itself only costing £35.00), but the time it took me to help optimise and develop website design support, written content, stock photo imagery research, concept planning, search engine optimisation and all of the above to support their websites impact, was a service the client would be happy to pay for.
Further to this I had developed greater skills in website design and layout of my own CSS templates and HTML coding to forward pages to the website host. Some of the pages in the portfolio depict website templates used, and others are a sharing of my skills in designing my own website pages and CSS without a template. It seems that my skills in my own photography have also developed over the time, as clients required their own photo's edited, taken by myself or sought out through stock photo's to embed into their own websites.
The person centred approach is used in all aspects of the website design support and design needs of the business client and is my key ethos within all of the services provided by person centred designs or person centred consultancies. Developments now include training in web 2.0 for small businesses & third sector agencies to add an additional website marketing strategy to their endeavours.
