Search Engine Optimisation is the way a website is designed and delivered to the search engines in order for it to be ranked. Some websites and website designs have not been optimised and they are created / designed at sometimes very high prices, but have not reached the client's expected placement on Google or even at all.

 

 I  have ensured that all the website designs I work on have a premium placement on Google and have search engine optimisation as an integral part of the package key words and meta tags to ensure their placement at a premium position, but that is not all.  There is more to how it occurs.

How does this work?

Google has something called an algorithm that works out how the website should be ranked. It helps if a website can be designed to meet the requirements of this algorithm and so support the search engine optimisation needs of the client.This alone does not ensure a high position on Google. Website content and a range of other features will offer this to some degree and the use of key words and meta tags will too.

(0.04 seconds)'.  4th July 2007. Again at google with his specialism Traditional Signwriter  ranked on page 1 at  4th position.. Results 1 - 10 of about 106,000 for traditional signwriter. How expensive is it to be at the top of Google?

 

I have recently heard (11/07/07) of a business spending £1000 per month!! to ensure their placement with the keywords they need coupled with search engine optimisation. My feelings are that most small businesses do not have this sort of money and besides a website designed and search engine optimised well enough, with the use of our search engine optimisation services can be achieved without spending this. Some websites are designed with just style and imagery, and some without, however those that do not have their website search engine optimised, an assessment of key competitor research and the use of good key words and meta tags included, may take their chances on whether they reach a fair position on google.

Search Engine Optimisation is a skill and can take time to acquire a good position on google. SEO and marketing services are costed out with an ethical pricing ethos. I will not  charge for SEO services with an extortionate cost. However I understand that supporting the business to reach page one of google is worth a fair and agreed payment. I am happy to negotiate terms of payment for this on a weekly, monthly or per annum basis and time limited as defined by the client. Terms for payment also include a single sum for SEO for a fixed period.
